Job Description:

As a Religious Studies Teacher, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and delivering comprehensive and engaging lessons on various religious traditions, promoting critical thinking and fostering a deep appreciation for cultural diversity.

  • Motivating students to actively explore and analyse different belief systems and their societal implications, encouraging them to develop open-minded perspectives.

  • Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that facilitates open dialogue and respects individual beliefs, promoting an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding.

  • Regularly assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their academic and personal growth.

  • Collaborating with fellow educators to enrich the curriculum and explore innovative teaching methodologies.

  • Active participation in extracurricular activities and school events that promote cultural awareness and understanding.

Qualifications:

To be eligible for this role, you should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related field.

  • Teaching certification and prior experience in teaching Religious Studies or related subjects.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire young minds.

  • A genuine passion for imparting spiritual knowledge and nurturing a deep understanding of diverse religious beliefs.

  • Adaptability and openness to embracing diverse teaching approaches and methodologies.
