Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Literature Teacher to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development: Develop and implement engaging and rigorous lesson plans aligned with the English literature curriculum standards and educational objectives.
Literary Analysis: Teach students to analyze and interpret a variety of literary texts, including novels, plays, poems, and short stories, fostering critical thinking and literary appreciation.
Classroom Instruction: Deliver dynamic and interactive lessons that engage students in discussions, debates, and creative activities related to literature.
Writing Skills: Develop students' writing skills through assignments, essays, and literary analyses, providing constructive feedback to support their growth as writers..
Cultural Context: Explore the historical, cultural, and social contexts of literary texts, helping students understand the significance of literature in various contexts.
Assessment and Evaluation: Assess student understanding and progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, including tests, quizzes, essays, and projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in English Literature, Education, or a related field.
Teaching qualification/certification from a recognized institution.
Strong knowledge of English literature across different genres, periods, and cultures.
Previous teaching experience, preferably in secondary education.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
