Location: Braintree

Position: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: September 2023

Interviews: Week commencing 22nd May (prior to half term)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive team at a reputable school in Braintree. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher (ECT) looking to kick-start their career in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students from Key Stage 3 (KS3) to Key Stage 5 (KS5).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Engage with parents, guardians, and relevant stakeholders to provide regular updates on student progress and address any concerns.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography, inspiring students to develop a love for the subject.
  • Experience teaching Geography to KS3 and KS5 students, with a proven track record of achieving excellent results.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and curriculum changes.
